Autumn Vermont

When non-New Englanders think of fall colors, they typically only imagine red, orange, and yellow. Those three shades abound, but autumn in New England is awash in pink from the last cosmos and ripe cabbages, blues from borage, greens from kale and squash, and the golds from ready-to-harvest riesling grapes. It’s dazzling but much like spring, over far too quickly. This year’s colors were particularly brilliant.
